What is Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)?

NLP uses the ‘language of the mind’ to bring about desired changes and achieve specific goals.  Think of it like having a user manual for your mind.

NLP (neurolinguistic programming) is a branch of psychology and uses quick, easy and enlightening techniques to bring about rapid and profound change.

Your brain can be your worst enemy and sabotage you. We all have patterns to the way we think, feel, and behave. Our thoughts, feelings and actions have therefore produced our lives as we know them today.

Understanding the ways of the unconscious mind is incredibly empowering, as the unconscious mind is where our emotions, memories and habits are created and stored. Once we understand that the unconscious mind does not operate in a logical manner, but rather with the use of our own imagined images and self-talk, then we can start to gain the ability to change and eliminate any unhelpful thought patterns to create new, helpful ways of thinking and doing.

NLP breaks unhelpful cycles quickly and effectively.

Whether you are suffering in certain areas or would like to purse personal or professional excellence, NLP can help dramatically.

I will work with you to identify areas you’d like to change and improve, whether personally or professionally, and using NLP I will work with you to achieve those goals.

NLP is an incredibly quick and powerful way to help you create a life you love.

Where is NLP used?

NLP is used in therapy, sometimes alongside other therapies (such as Hypnotherapy) to achieve fast, permanent change.

Personal Coaches regularly use NLP techniques to address client issues and help them become ‘unstuck’ because it’s a great way of examining unhelpful thought and behavioural patterns and giving clients the tools to manage their struggles going forward.

NLP can help with a wide range of issues including:

  • fears and phobias
  • generalised anxiety disorders
  • post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)

NLP techniques can also be used in a personal or professional way to achieve work-orientated goals such as improved productivity. It’s incredibly popular in the world of business, in fact.
